Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has left Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal after the expiration of his contract, according to reports.
Benzema joined Al Hilal in January this year on a three-year deal and scored eight goals in 16 appearances for the club. However, the Frenchman was reportedly unhappy with his playing time under new coach Jassim Al Thani, who had replaced former manager Herve Renard.
Al Hilal have confirmed that they will be looking to find a replacement for Benzema as he returns to Spain ahead of the winter transfer window.
The 29-year-old has been a key player for Real Madrid since joining from Lyon in 2014, scoring over 250 goals in 387 appearances for the Spanish giants. He is currently out injured due to injury but is expected to return to training in the coming weeks.
